Do you have IPv6?
We connect to an IPv6-only endpoint and an IPv4-only endpoint and report what works.
Why care? IPv6 is the modern, larger address space replacing IPv4. Many home ISPs serve IPv6 alongside IPv4 (dual-stack) or behind a NAT. IPv6 enables more direct peer-to-peer connections and reduces ISP-level address translation. It's not a privacy improvement on its own — IPv6 addresses are just as identifying.
If only v4 worked: your network or ISP doesn't currently route IPv6. Most modern ISPs offer it; some require a router setting change. There's no urgent action required.
In one line: MyIPSpeed IPv6 Test detects whether you have IPv4-only, IPv6-only, or dual-stack connectivity by querying our edge over both protocols and comparing results — useful for diagnosing CGNAT, ISP rollout, and VPN configuration.
